Sara Maynard - Bio
Sara has been in full-time ministry in the Canadian Prayer Movement since 2000. In addition to her time in Bible school, she was originally mentored in prayer under leaders such as Bob Birch, Winkie Pratney and Leonard Ravenhill, so carries a strong spiritual DNA for revival. She was a part of the team that launched Canada's first house of prayer (Vancouver House of Prayer) and then became its director. Sara birthed Redleaf Prayer in 2003 and continues to serve as the Executive Director, giving vision and direction, training leaders and leading prayer in the Red Leaf House of Prayer. In addition, she travels extensively teaching and equipping on prayer and revival in schools, churches and conferences.
Sara also has a great passion for the unity of the Canadian Prayer Movement and so serves as the chair of the Ears to Hear Network of Prayer Ministries. She is regularly called upon to mentor emerging houses of prayer and to participate in national or international prayer initiatives, events and summits. She is deeply committed to an intergenerational expression of prayer becoming the norm in Canada. Sara is an ordained minister of the gospel.
Langley, BC is Sara's home, where she resides with Mike, her husband of 35 years. Mike and Sara have three married sons who are bringing great joy to their parents by loving God and producing adorable grandchildren. Sara and Mike attend Via Vancouver, which is a Via Apostolica Church Plant.
